I currently am a National Research Council post-doctoral
researcher at the National Severe Storms Laboratory. I am a
numerical modeller of tornadic and non-tornadic thunderstorms,
particularly interested in the origins of rotation at low levels
in those storms and how to distinguish them. I also do a little
chasing on the side.

I am employed as an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Engineering
in the area of systems engineering, but most of my education is in
meteorology. I have a professional interest in agricultural meteorology,
applications of satellite and radar information to agriculture, frost
protection and prediction; just an amateur interest in severe storms.

Weather interest is partially due to being a pilot, but was a weather
watcher when I lived in Altus, OK. No severe weather to speak of occurs
here in Albuquerque.

relates to weather), tornado chasing, and photography. I work as a Network
and Systems Analyst but hope to some day get into emergency management and
training at the state or Federal level.

I'm interested in severe weather, extreme weather (hot, cold, rain, snow,
etc) and especially tornadoes. I'm employed by NCAR as an applications
programmer (not as a meterologist or scientist) but the work has helped me
learn meteorology, mostly by osmosis. I simply enjoy talking about the
weather, but on a more-than-layman's level.
